Wong Leong & Associates PLT is a member firm of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), which is established under the Malaysia Accountants Act to oversee and regulate the interest and professionalism of the Accountant Profession in Malaysia. We follow closely the policies and procedures, which are consistent with By-law issued by MIA. MIA conducts practice review on quality of work produced by member firms and also on compliance with firm's policies and procedures.

We are also a member of IAPA International since 2008, which is a leading global association of independent accounting, audit, tax, legal, advisory, financial, immigration and technology services firms that aims to support its members in providing their clients with a diverse range of professional, comprehensive and cost-effective business solutions, regardless of sector or location.

Our firm was established since 1994 and we currently have 2 licensed audit partners with a total staff force of approximately 30 professional and administrative personnel, which mainly involved in Assurance, Secretarial, Tax and Accountancy related professional work.

Audit

The audit partners Ms Wong Nyok Har(FCCA) and Ms Lay Chiew Far (FCA) are approved company auditors under the Companies Act and Ministry of Finance Malaysia, and approved tax agent under the Income Tax Act granted by the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia with the recommendation of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants ("MIA"), which was established under the Malaysia Accountants Act to oversee and regulate the interest and professionalism of the Accountant Profession in Malaysia.

Ms Wong Nyok Har(FCCA) and Ms Lay Chiew Far (FCA) have working exposure in Malaysia, Singapore and United Kingdom for the past 40 years. They have worked with Arthur Young International, Peat Marwick; and Coopers and Lybrand. They are also a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM).

Tax

Mr Tan Kok Wah is a former tax officer in the tax audit department, he has been working in the tax field for over 40 years, he is also a member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) he mainly involves in the tax compliance and advisory, such as RPGT, Transfer Pricing, Capital Statement and Tax Investigation.
